AV Distribution

With a large and complex home theatre system, AV distribution is extremely important. This category covers consolidation and organisation of cables and signals, as well as signal strengthening and extending. Wall plates can be used to consolidate cables running long distances, by wiring them through the walls or ceiling. Signal converters can be used to extend a signal via converting it to a more reliable connection type to run long distances, such as cat5 balun kits. AV switches and splitters are useful for combining multiple source inputs into a single output display, or duplicating a single input to multiple displays. Infrared distribution systems are used to strengthen the infrared signal from a remote control to allow for control from any location in the home. Multi room AV equipment includes a variety of devices specialised in multi room and wireless signals, including remote controls and accessories.
