What Sennheiser Brought to CES 2024: Momentum True Wireless 4 and More

Sennheiser fans were nothing short of ecstatic at the Consumer Electronics Show this year. As a long-time provider of Sennheiser headphones, it's safe to say we're pretty excited here at Selby as well. The iconic hi-fi brand dropped three new products, and they're all in the headphones realm: The Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds, the Momentum Sport running in-ears, and the Accentum Plus over-ear headphones.

Let's take a look at each of these releases and how they may change the game for Sennheiser's lineup.

Momentum True Wireless 4

These are, by every mark and measure, a flagship release. Their predecessor, the Momentum True Wireless 3 buds, were some of the top performing premium earbuds in the industry, on par with products like the Bose QC Ultra Earbuds and the Sony WF-1000XM5. And with Sennheiser's reputation, we expect a genuinely impressive upgrade with the new model.

The company reported over "a dozen enhancements" from the Momentum True Wireless 3 including next-level sound. Taking a closer look at the new model, it looks like it will hold true to these expectations. The Momentum True Wireless 4 buds will feature Snapdragon Sound Technology for aptX lossless codec, support for Qualcomm's S5 Sound Gen 2, as well as ultra-low latency capability. Equipped with Auracast support and Bluetooth 5.4, the earbuds are promised to operate for 7.5 hours on a single battery charge, and with the charging case, up to 30 hours. Finally, Sennheiser has reportedly made improvements on the active noise-cancelling performance as well.

The Momentum True Wireless 4 won't be available for pre-order until February 15th, but on that date buyers can choose between black copper, graphite, and metallic silver.

Momentum Sport

Adjacent to the True Wireless line are the Momentum Sport in-ears, designed to be a more fitness-focused model. They feature body and heart rate sensors so you can send data directly to the health app or fitness tracker on your device. Users can also download the Polar Flow app to get further insights into their biological metrics.

The ANC is the focal point of these earbuds -- the noise-cancelling tech offers multiple modes so users can focus on what they want to. The acoustic chamber helps to block out sounds like footsteps and heavy breathing, while allowing for environmental awareness. Other options include transparency mode, anti-wind mode, and standard ANC.

As any sport headphone should be, the Momentum Sport buds are shock-proof and water-resistant, and offer 24 hours of battery life from the case. Available in black, graphite, or olive, these buds will release April 9th.

Accentum Plus

Sennheiser is excelling in the in-ear headphones department, but they released some premium over-ear headphones as well: the Accentum Plus. These are designed to be the next level up from the Accentum Wireless, released last September. Sennheiser claims that the Accentum Plus "emphasise outstanding sound quality, battery life and versatile connectivity." With aptX Adaptive codec support and Bluetooth 5.2, these headphones are lined up to be a frontline release for Sennheiser's over-ear models. They will offer 50 hours of listening per charge, and will be available in black or white starting February 20th.

With this new lineup, Sennheiser really covered all the bases, with a product for every type of headphone-lover. We'll see how they stack up to their rivals as the year goes on. Which new Sennheiser release are you most excited about?
