Reproduce object-oriented sound with DTS:X and the smooth, curving or realistic, three-dimensional, overhead movements of Dolby Atmos. And if you don’t have surrounds or height speakers, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer and DTS:X Virtual will create virtual height effects from traditional speaker layouts to simulate up firing speakers.

HDMI 2.1 with 8K

HDMI 2.1 supports a range of higher video resolutions and refresh rates including 8K60 and 4K120, as well as Dynamic HDR formats. 8K delivers a super-immersive viewing experience with 2x the horizontal and vertical resolution of 4K, and 4 times as many pixels. DTS:X®/DTS Neural:X Upmixing

DTS:X is the next-generation audio codec from DTS that leverages object-based audio to enable new immersive and interactive audio experiences. Since DTS:X can automatically adapt the audio to the existing channels and speaker system, no specific speaker layout is required. Experience an immersive soundscape with incredibly rich and life-like audio. Other audio codecs such as PCM and DSD can be upmixed using DTS Neural:X for enjoying 3D surround sound.

Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization & DTS Virtual:X

When playing any Dolby format, engaging the Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer enables a more immersive listening experience, creating a virtual surround and height effect from traditional speaker layouts without employing additional surround or height speakers.

With DTS Virtual:X, you can enjoy a three-dimensional immersive sound similar to DTS:X, without the need of height or rear speakers. The technology supports 2 to 7.1.4-channel input source, for delivery on 2 to 5.1 or even 7.1-channel speaker layout. DTS Virtual:X works with all DTS codecs,

Bi-directional Bluetooth

The VSX-935 can send and receive audio via Bluetooth wireless technology. This capability means your gaming headphones will easily connect to audio from the AVR (using SBC, aptX™️, or aptX HD codecs including 24-bit audio over aptX HD).

You can also stream from devices, like a cell phone, to the AVR (using SBC or AAC codecs) if you want to keep listening to your podcast or the new releases from your favourite artists on the home theatre system.

MCACC Auto Room Tuning

Create the optimum acoustic environment with Pioneer's MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System), developed with the expertise of professional recording studios. With the custom microphone, the system automatically compensates for differences in speaker size, level and distance, and equalises response.

Music Streaming

Music streaming is simple with the VSX-935. Access to several streaming services including Spotify®, Amazon Music, Pandora®, TIDAL, Deezer, and TuneIn is built in. Additionally, this AVR is compatible with Works with Sonos, AirPlay 2 and DTS Play-Fi®. You can also use voice commands to control supported music services in multiple rooms with Alexa or Chromecast built-in™.

With this unique mid-range sound control feature, you can make independent volume adjustments to the range including dialogues in films, with the up/down key on the remote control.

Personal Presets

Just press the Personal Preset button on the front panel for three seconds; and your current settings, such as volume level and listening mode, can be saved. Up to three presets can be registered and easily recalled from the front panel button or remote control. On-Screen Information for Audio/Video Status

The screen display now shows detailed input and output information for the playing content. So you can see whether your video is being output by Dolby Vision, or if the movie is processing Dolby Atmos or DTS:X sound.
