The AT-LPW40WN is a fully manual, belt-drive turntable designed to give you optimal high-fidelity audio reproduction from vinyl. It features an aesthetically pleasing anti-resonance MDF (medium density fibreboard) plinth with simulated walnut wood veneer to limit low-frequency acoustical feedback and a sensor-monitored motor to ensure accurate platter rotation speeds at 33-1/3 and 45 RPM.

Built-in Switchable Phono Preamp
The built-in phono stage makes this turntable a breeze to connect to almost any home stereo system or set of active speakers without the need for an external pre-amp or a hifi amplifier with a dedicated phono input. Simply set the turntables phono EQ switch to ON and plug it in to any line input.
And being switchable ofcourse if your existing amplifier has a built-in phono pre-amp you wish to use simply set the turntables phono EQ switch to THRU, and the turntables built-in pre-amp will be bypassed.
Tonearm
The AT-LPW40WN features a straight carbon-fibre tonearm with adjustable tracking force and anti-skating. The carbon-fibre tonearm provides a ridgid, non-resonant structure, whilst remaining extremely lightweight. The included headshell attaches via a standard half inch universal bayonet style connection.
AT-VM95E Cartridge
The included AT-VM95E dual moving magnet cartridge comes pre-fitted to the headshell making setup quick and easy. The AT-VM95E features an elliptical diamond tipped stylus with aluminium cantilever. Being part of Audio-Technica's VM Series means the cartridge is compatible with other styli in the VM range making future upgrades simple and easy.
Motor
The DC servo motor features a speed stability control system for greater speed accuracy during playback and helps achieve a wow & flutter rating of just 0.15%.
Plinth
The anti-resonance MDF (medium density fibreboard) plinth is finished in a retro style walnut simulated wood veneer.
