Audio Visual AV Cables
AV cables, or audio visual cables, consist of three separate wires bundled together, with red, white, and yellow terminal connectors. Yellow typically is the visual component, while red and white are the right and left of the stereo audio component. AV cables are commonly used to connect a bluray or media player to a display such as a TV. With a hifi speaker system, the audio portion can be connected to an amplifier or preamplifier to be sent through the speakers. Lengths range from 30 cm to 30 metres, however it is highly recommended to use an extender kit for sending signals across long distances.
