Resi-Linx Video Extender - Video via Cat5/Cat6 (RL-BV300)
This product allows you to transmit up to 4 composite video signals (ie: yellow RCA cables) over a long range (up to 100 metres). Usually composite video cables experience noticeable signal degradation over long lengths of cable, but this product converts the signal to one which can be transmitted via network cables (eg: Cat6), resulting in clear signal transmission up to 100 metres, and then converts the signal back again at the other end.
Setting It Up
Use normal composite video cables (yellow RCA cables) to connect up to 4 source devices (eg: CCTV cameras) to one of the "baluns" (little black box, included). Use normal composite video cables (yellow RCA cables) to connect your display devices or recording device (eg: TV screens, monitors, PVR, etc) to the other balun (included). Use a standard network cable (eg: Cat6 with RJ45/8P8C connectors) to join the two baluns together.
Please Note:
This kit includes only the pair of baluns. Network cable is not included, as the length required will depend on your needs.
