A boy named Milo (played by Dylan Schombing) who is the only survivor of the attack is captured by slave traders.

We travel forward seventeen years to see the grown Milo (played by Kit Harington) who has developed into a talented gladiator. He impresses the crowds who come to watch him and his fellow slaves battle in the gladiator arena.

Witness to a horse fall while leading a carriage, Milo ends the suffering of the horse by killing it. Passengers in the carriage include Cassia who is the daughter of the city ruler Severus, and her servant Ariadne. Cassia is attracted to Milo’s compassion.

Corvus, now a Senator has always sought Cassia for his wife and power to rule the city. He threatens Cassia’s family with death if she does not agree to marry him.

In his quest to stay alive, Milo develops a gladiatorial rivalry with Atticus, who is a champion striving for his freedom which he has been told will be earned with one more victory. It doesn’t take long before Atticus realises this promise as false, forging the two men in mutual respect.

A place of corruption and temptation, the key players become locked in a battle for survival and power. Despite all their strength, there is something with greater power at play. The volcanic Mount Vesuvius erupts, unleashing balls of molten fire across the city causing the arena to collapse. Chaotic events unfold as they battle each other together whilst escaping the natural disaster surrounding them.

Described as a “disaster-adventure” film, Pompeii is sure to be loud and action packed.
