In a visual feast for children and adults of all ages, this adaptation of the ageless fairy-tale is sure to breathe new life into an old story. Ella is a young girl living on a beautiful estate with her wealthy parents. Especially close with her mother, they share a love of fantasy and embrace the existence of magic. Ella befriends many of the animals on the estate and enjoys an enchanted life, until the death of her mother.

As Ella grows up, she embraces her mother’s wishes of having courage and showing kindness to others. After some years, Ella’s father remarries Lady Tremaine, (Cate Blanchett) who has two daughters of her own. Happy to welcome her new sisters, Drizella and Anastasia into her family, she soon discovers they are not willing to show the same feelings to her.

After her father dies unexpectedly, Ella is left to live with her heartless Stepmother and her entitled Stepsisters, relegating her to the role of servant to the trio. Ella is dubbed "Cinderella" by her cruel stepsisters because of her face is dirtied from sleeping in the fireplace to keep warm.

Excited by the girls’ invitation to the palace ball, Ella hopes that she might again see the handsome stranger that she recently met in the woods. Lady Tremaine refuses to allow Ella to attend, tears up her dress and insists that her presence would embarrass them. With Ella’s magical transformation only temporary, she makes her way to the ball with excitement, and her mothers’ words of kindness in her mind.

This live action rendition of the classic tale has certainly been taken to a whole new level, with incredible costumes, cinematography and a popular soundtrack.
