This is a 2 in, 1 out stereo RCA switch box, allowing you to select between 2 separate stereo audio sources. If your hi-fi or home theatre receiver has limited RCA audio inputs then this unit will allow 2 stereo AV devices to connect to a single stereo input on a your system, however as this is a switching box, only 1 source will passed to the output at a time. The 2 selector buttons on the front panel allow you to select which audio source input you want to send to the output. This is a passive unit so there is no need for external power.
